STUDENT SPOTLIGHT- SAVANA STEWART

Savana discussed the change in communication with her parents during college. It is her own opinion of her relationship with her parents and is not necessarily the typical representation of our student population. It is through this Spotlight that we aim to shed light on the differences that many of our students have in family contact.

My mom and I used to butt heads a lot when I was in high school since we're so much alike and very stubborn, but since I've been away at school I've really learned to appreciate her. She does so much for me and not having her in the room next door has really made me see what an important part of my life she is. I never thought that I would miss my mom in a million years, but I definitely do. Being an only child with a single parent didn't seem special until I was away and didn't have Mom around. I love her! :)
