As many of us remember, in January 2010, Haiti was hit by a massive earthquake. A group of Missouri State students came together to think about how Missouri State could help the citizens of Haiti. They formed a group called, "Bears Backing Haiti." Students all across campus came together to donate money to this cause. The goal was to raise $50,000 in 50 hours. We fell short only $7,000 and this January, we raised money again to meet the $50,000 goal.
