A WORD FROM STUDENT LEADER-BETH BUNTON:

When I left for college, I told my parents I wasn't coming home for six weeks. And I didn't. My parents wanted me to get a good start in my classes, make new friends, and learn to live on my own. However, I talked to my parents every day on the phone and let them know what was going on in my life. As a junior now, I don't talk to them quite as frequently on the phone, but through other ways such as text messages and e-mails.

Student Services Spotlight - The Academic Advisement Center

Posted in

by Kathy Davis, Director
Each student at Missouri State University is assigned to work with an academic advisor who helps the student make well-informed and meaningful educational choices.  Because Missouri State believes that it is important for each student to consult with an advisor in choosing appropriate courses, all students are required to meet with their advisors prior to registration each semester until they have earned 75 hours.  Pre-registration for spring 2010 is going on from November 2 to 20, so most students will be meeting with their advisors sometime in the next few weeks.
