MIT Campus Dining
MIT Campus Dining offers abundant options and variety, resulting in one of the most diverse campus dining operations in the nation. With over 28 on-campus locations consisting of house dining halls, restaurants, cafés, food trucks, convenience stores, student-run pubs, and delivery options, students are never too far from a meal or a snack. Our partnership with over 17 different food service providers allows us to offer a wide variety of ethnic cuisines, vegetarian choices and vegan offerings.
While some students choose to eat all meals in campus venues, others choose to cook for themselves. Many students also choose a combination of on-campus meal purchasing and cooking to get the best of both worlds. For those students who choose to cook, there are shuttles available that travel from MIT to local grocery stores.
All MIT Community members are welcome in all on-campus cafés and house dining halls, with the exception of the Faculty Club (which is open exclusively to faculty and their invited guests) and the pubs (which are open only to community members age 21 and over).
Students living in residences with dining halls – Baker, Maseeh, McCormick, Next, and Simmons – are required to enroll in a meal plan. Students who live in other residences or in a Fraternity, Sorority or Independent Living Group (FSILG) are not required to participate, but they can enroll on a voluntary basis under the same terms and conditions as required participants. Meals are offered seven days a week and feature all-you-care-to-eat service.
