What does my student do if there is a medical emergency?
If there is a life-threatening emergency on campus, please call 928-523-3000. Off campus, students should dial 911.
What if my student needs to leave school during the term for an extended period of time or for the rest of the term?
Contact the Office of Student Life at 928-523-5181 as soon as possible. Staff members are available to assist students who are experiencing difficulties or a personal crisis. They are able to help contact faculty members, refer students to appropriate resources, and help determine a course of action so students can continue making academic progress.
If I have general concerns about my student, who should I call?
The Office of Parent Services number is a great place to start. Our staff is familiar with the university and will be able to answer your questions or direct you to the appropriate office. Call 928-523-6267.
Does the university ever close for weather or emergencies?
Classes may be canceled for weather-related issues or emergencies. Class cancellation and closure notices are sent through NAU alert. Students can call 928-523-0007 to learn about cancellations and closures.
