Support your NCCU Student!
- Frame a family photo for your student to pack with him/her.
- Discuss finances weekly/monthly – Make sure to let them know about proper usage of credit cards and how to manage the checking account.
- Obtain a copy of your student’s class schedule and full contact information so you can call them when they are out of class!
- Send an address book to college with your student including mailing addresses and e-mail addresses so they can keep in touch!
- Check your insurance plans for coverage of your student’s property.
- Pre-plan to send a few care packages throughout the semester.
- Be sure your student has medical insurance and an identification card in case he/she needs to use it.
- Teach them some lessons in laundry.
- Make sure payment arrangements are made for tuition and board or that financial aid is completely covering your student’s balance.
- Buy and wear your NCCU Parents or Family T-shirt with pride!
