What are your career goal(s)?
I plan to graduate North Carolina Central with a Criminal Justice degree and continue onto law school. I plan to be the best in law school and graduate with honors. I will become one of the best female attorneys in the United States.
Are you nervous/excited about college?
I am very excited to be attending NCCU. This will be a great experience for me and I will be able to meet new people. I am ready to get involved in plenty of activities and get a taste of a new environment. Eagle pride all the way!!
Why did you choose to attend NCCU?
I chose NCCU because I did my research and I found that NCCU was ranked number one HBCU in North Carolina and the number public HBCU in the nation. My aunt is an alumna as well and she told me great things about this school. I strongly believe this school best fits my major Criminal Justice and the law school is wonderful for women to attend as well.
Tell us a little about your orientation experience this summer.
I found out about the history of NCCU that I had no idea about starting from where it begin to the present. I got to see the residence hall rooms and found out a little about what they were about. I also met new people and talked with them as well. It was a great experience!
We've just finished celebrating NCCU's 100th Year with the Centennial theme "Soaring on the Legacy." After you graduate from NCCU, what do you hope to leave as your NCCU legacy?
I hope to leave a legacy as strong, independent, determined women who will become a future leader to the world. I want people to know that they can be become anything as long as they take the steps necessary towards their success.
