Cooperative Education (Co-op) is an optional university-wide program for students, which integrates academic study with related job experience. Co-op provides students a chance to learn more about their fields of study through practical work experiences.

Cooperative Education:

  • offers experience relevant to students' major and career goals.
  • provides income to help with college expenses.
  • establishes valuable professional contacts.
  • increases self-confidence and interpersonal skills.
  • enhances motivation and classroom participation.
  • serves as a source of references for future employment.
  • gives students a head start to gain valuable experiences in their major.
