(Fall, Winter & Spring) Alternative Service Breaks are a unique service-learning experience in which students engage in direct volunteer service on projects in national and international communities. During the trips, students participate in a variety of cultural, educational, recreational and reflective activities to enhance their service experiences.
This program provides an opportunity for students to:
- travel to a new part of the country or world.
- learn about another culture.
- be a part of something transformative.
- learn valuable leadership skills.
- engage in direct hands on service.
- enhance their resume.
- help someone less fortunate.
- gain insights about social and environmental issues.
