The Campus Safety Department operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The department is primarily responsible for the enforcement of university policies, which ensure good order on the campus, as well as regulating traffic and parking control. The department also provides general information and safety assistance to the campus community.
Be advised that while freshmen are allowed to have cars on campus, it is strongly discouraged. Connections that are critical for freshmen to make and are key to their success can be hindered by access to a vehicle. If you choose to bring a car to campus, be sure to talk about campus involvement and follow the registration procedures as detailed on the Campus Safety web site.
