Parents have always been an integral part of our community from recruitment to graduation. In Admissions, we see many parents more excited than their son/daughter about starting at Tech. As their sons/daughters begin to explore all the opportunities available to them at Tech, we continue to  remain in contact with parents.

Of course, the issues that parents grapple with change - transition to college, students becoming their own person and making adult choices, living on-campus vs. off-campus, study abroad and internships, searching for jobs and graduate schools, etc.  That excitement never lessens.  It's gratifying to hear stories of how Tech students are impacted by the education and experience they are receiving at Tech. 

The parent program at New Mexico Tech is called the “Proud Parent Association”. Members will get a monthly e-newsletter, subscription to “This Week at Tech” – email announcements, one-time 20% bookstore discount, notifications to events on-campus and invitations to Proud Parent Weekend.
