New students who have been accepted to Tennessee State University for fall 2010 are beginning a new and exciting chapter in their lives. Many opportunities to become the best they can be will be presented to them. For new students whose ACT/SAT scores place them in Developmental Studies courses, this is a unique opportunity to improve their placement before they begin classes in the fall. Academic Enrichment's Summer Success Institute, a non-residential, pre-college program, can provide an opportunity for them to attain higher placement plus an opportunity to complete some course work before school starts.

The Honors Program hosts 4th Annual Student Leadership Conference

With over 160 students in attendance, the Tennessee State University Honors Program hosted its fourth annual Student Leadership Conference on February 19 - 20, 2010 with the theme, "Your Brand; Fact or Fiction." This year's conference was by far the best of all the previous conferences. The conference is the brainchild of Dr. William U. Latham who serves as the associate director of the honors program.
