Health Insurance for Your Student Through SHAC
Student Health Service
UNM Student Health and Counseling (SHAC) is a one-stop health service available to all currently enrolled UNM students. SHAC is located on Main Campus just north of Johnson Center and across the mall from the Student Union Building. Services include primary medical care, walk-in clinic, pharmacy, women's and men's health, allergy and immunization, medical specialty clinics, physical therapy, lab and x-ray, travel health clinic, counseling services, health education and prevention, and a student health leadership council.

By the time you read this letter, you and your student(s) will be preparing for academic year 2010/2011. If you are like me, in the past couple of months you were able to enjoy some good and meaningful times with your students while they were home for the summer. Moving into the Residence Halls is a busy time of the year! Here are a few things to consider as you begin to think about MOVE-IN on the UNM Main Campus.
- Our Move-in dates are Aug 17, 2010 thru Aug 22, 2010, 8am to 6pm.
- All students will Check-in at their assigned hall. (Exception: Laguna/DeVargas residents will check-in at Santa Clara Hall)...
