Welcome to the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh
Preparing for college is an exciting time of change for students and their families. By staying informed and connected to your student, parents and other family members can help ease the transition and play a part in their student’s success.
We know that parents of first-year college students have a lot of questions and recommend that you become familiar with all that UW Oshkosh has to offer by taking some time to review this guide.
More information for Parents and Family Members is available, including tips for parents, recommended reading, frequently asked questions and other resources.
We also invite you to visit your student on campus at UW Oshkosh. In particular, parents often enjoy coming to Oshkosh each fall for the following campus and community-wide events:
- Fall Fest on the Fox — A two-day festival held annually in September that includes a fabulous Fish Fry on the Fox with live music and horse-drawn carriage tours of campus, a hearty Breakfast with the Chancellor and the Oshkosh Community Dragonboat Race and Festival.
- Homecoming — UW Oshkosh’s annual homecoming festivities include a bike ride, pregame celebration with food and fun for the whole family, and Titans football game.
We hope to see you around campus!
