The Reading/Study Center, offers students at all stages of academic development an opportunity to acquire more sophisticated reading and study techniques.
Students may choose to schedule an individual appointment or attend a variety of one-hour workshops about topics, such as test preparation, test taking, textbook study, active learning strategies, note taking and PPST/Praxis II exam preparation. Self-help resources also are available, including learning strategy packets, lending library and online links.
In addition, students are encouraged to register for any of the following one-credit, seven-week courses: Intrdscp. 125 Comprehensive Study Skills and Intrdscp. 169 College Reading Strategies.
A two-credit course, Intrdscp. 100 Dev. Reading (paired with Geography 102), also is available.
