Support the Campus Experience
The Mothers' and Dads' Clubs have supported SMU students for more than 85 years by backing efforts that benefit students, address campus needs, and build connections with other parents to share student experiences and campus resources.
In addition to Move-In Day in August, when the clubs offer cold drinks and encouragement, Mothers' and Dads' Clubs support:
• Family Weekend, set for September 28-30, 2012, with a luncheon and barbecue sponsored by the clubs.
• Endowed Scholarship Funds, supported by membership dues, provide need- and merit-based scholarships for undergraduates.
• Spring Gifts Campaign that has benefited such projects as an informative video for parents of first-year students, Mustang Corral T-shirts and a family-style Sunday fellowship lunch held after All-University worship services.
• Outstanding Senior Woman and Man awards, which honor 16 students for their high academic achievement, leadership and service.
