Temple University’s Department of Campus Recreation is the coordinating office for recreational sports programs at Main Campus. Nearly 4,000 students, faculty and staff participate daily in one or more of the various activities offered by Campus Recreation. These activities include intramurals (men’s, women’s, and co-rec), sport clubs, informal recreation, special events and programs, group fitness, adapted recreation, aquatics and student staff development.
Recreational Facilities
Independence Blue Cross Student Recreation Center (IBC)

Features three floors of fitness areas, including free weights, cardiovascular machines, group fitness sessions, martial arts/Spinning® room, racquetball courts, indoor track and outdoor multi-purpose court.
Temple University Fitness Center (TUF)

Features a 16,000 sq feet fitness area including cardio machines, selectorized machines, and areas designed for circuit training, light-weights, strength and core.
The Student Pavilion (PAV)

Features four indoor multi-purpose courts for basketball, volleyball, badminton, indoor golf driving range and table tennis. The complex also contains an outdoor tennis area with seven lighted tennis courts, one of which is equipped for roller hockey and inline skating, and a sand volleyball court.
Pearson Hall Pool 30/31

Features an opportunity for recreational swimming, with specific hours identified for lap swim only. Water Aerobics sessions and swim lessons are also offered here.
TASB Fitness Center

Corporate fitness center for employees at the TU/TUHS satellite administration services building. Includes cardiovascular and strength training equipment.
