Tennessee State University Parent Guide
Career Development Center
The Career Development Center of Tennessee State University provides invaluable assistance in preparing students for the world of work and for graduate school opportunities.
The Center offers a variety of programs and services to identify and meet students’ career and personal goals. In realizing that the college experience can be perceived as the students’ first professional job, the Center has a comprehensive program structure that addresses the total development of their service learning.
The professional staff’s commitment ensures the students are given appropriate guidance throughout their matriculation, career planning and job search process, by providing career counseling, part-time, full-time, internship, cooperative education, career employment, graduate and professional school opportunities, and a variety of career fairs and networking opportunities.
The primary goal of the CDC is to equip students with the tools necessary to make informed decisions about their career and graduate school paths. The Center provides an open door for our students to compete professionally in a global society.
