At some point, your student may need help locating his academic advisor.

He may have questions regarding major selection, dropping or adding courses, pass/fail courses, general referrals to other services like tutoring, or request information on how to join a club or organization.

Advisors help from the first day of college, until the moment of commencement and graduation.

TSU's advisors make sure your student gets his diploma through regular visits and coursework/grade evaluations, and encourage your student to make independent decisions about his education by being informed with the best information possible.

Students should contact the Advisement Center at (615) 963-5331 to obtain the name and contact information for their advisor and to schedule appointments.

We are available to serve you through scheduled and walk-in appointments 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Remember, you want to encourage your student to be independent, but still provide support when they ask.
