Education Abroad Program
The University of Akron offers a wide variety of programs, both on a short-term basis (usually faculty-led) and longer term semester or year programs. A number of full exchanges are operated by the Office of International Programs.
Scholarship and grant information is available. Participants may volunteer, work, or intern abroad. Planning ahead helps the student to determine the best fit academically, personally and financially.
UA students who study abroad return home with new perspectives, increased self-confidence, cross-cultural skills, and a higher level of independence. They mature because they have been exposed to a number of challenges and different ways of thinking. They increase their career opportunities in today’s global economy.
