UCI Parking and Transportation Services

At UC Irvine, students don’t need their own cars. UCI’s Sustainable Transportation program makes it easy to go green and save money.

  • Is your student going home, taking a trip or running an errand? With the University Carshare program, offering low-cost vehicle rental for students ages 18 and up, students can get where they need to drive without paying fees for overnight parking on campus. Some restrictions may apply.
  • Students can gain valuable study time when they ride the bus. UCI’s University Pass Program allows students to ride OCTA buses anywhere in Orange County for one low membership fee.
  • UCI offers a 20% rebate on monthly or 10-trip passes for Metrolink or Amtrak. To complete the trip to campus, OCTA bus number 473 runs between the Tustin Metrolink station and UCI.
  • Metrolink schedules and route information.
  • Amtrak
  • UCI Zimride helps students ride-share.. This program allows UCI community members to request rides for commutes, road trips and popular events using a handy map.
  • ASUCI’s campus shuttles pick up and drop off every 5 to 7 minutes. GPS tracking is available for all buses, allowing passengers to view the real-time locations of shuttles and estimated arrival times at each stop. Campus shuttles also stop at several nearby locations, including Hoag Hospital, the UC Irvine Intercollegiate Sailing Base and Newport Peninsula.
  • UCI Parking and Transportation Services provides a complimentary holiday shuttle during Thanksgiving, Winter and Spring breaks to local transportation hubs including John Wayne Airport and the Irvine Transportation Center.
  • Biking is a quick and healthy way to get around campus. Need a bike? Join ZotWheels, UCI’s bikeshare system sign up online.
  • Register your bike for free at the Parking and Transportation Services office. Information on registration, bike maps and campus rules.
