University of California Irvine Parent Guide
Financial Aid and Scholarships
The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships recognizes that paying the cost of a UCI education is a partnership between parents, students, and the university. We are committed to providing resources and services to assist students and their families with financial resources including grants, scholarships, and loans. All eligible students and parents can receive some type of financial assistance, regardless of the family’s income and assets.
- Students must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form to establish financial need. FAFSA information can be found at FAFSA
- The FAFSA must be refiled each year by March 2 to be considered for need-based financial aid for the next academic year.
- Encourage your student to pay attention to deadlines, keep copies of all financial aid documents and correspondence, and read all mail from the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships.
