Student Housing

UC Irvine offers on-campus housing for a smooth transition to college. UCI guarantees two years of on-campus housing to all single freshmen under age 25 enrolling for fall quarter who meet housing and admissions deadlines. Students must live on campus for their entire first year to be guaranteed housing in the second year. Transfer students are guaranteed one year of housing in either Arroyo Vista theme houses or on-campus apartments.

Students who live off campus can get help finding an apartment or roommate from Housing Outreach Services, or the Anteater Housing Network.

UC Irvine also offers a number of on-campus apartment options for graduate students, and all newly enrolling Ph.D., M.F.A, and J.D. students are guaranteed an offer of on-campus housing.

Your Student’s RA/HA

Each residence hall, theme house and apartment cluster is assigned one resident advisor (RA) or house advisor (HA). Trained to provide leadership, support and fun for student residents, they play important roles in helping freshmen and transfer students adjust to life on campus.
