The Centre for Global Competency (CGC) provides education abroad opportunities such as international internships, service learning activities outside the U.S., and study abroad programs in more than 15 countries in Europe, Central America, and Asia.
Unlike any other study abroad office, our mission does not stop in just sending students abroad; we are determined to create globally competent students that can offer the necessary skills and knowledge to compete in the current employment market.
The CGC also sponsors the “Glocal” programs where we connect our international students population with the American students in a series of interactive activities, cultural simulations, conversations, and mentorships. More than 150 students are currently learning from other cultures right here in Oklahoma.
Central students can also gain an extra competitive advantage by completing our Global Competency Certification program. This program keeps track of all the international related activities, education abroad experiences, and language acquisition with the purpose to create a meaningful transcript that students can provide at the time for a job interview to complement their resumes.
