UCR Financial Details

Fees and Tuition Payment Schedule

Fall 2011- September 15, 2011
Winter 2012- December 15, 2011
Spring 2012- March 15, 2012

Payment must arrive by 4 p.m. on the date shown. Postmarks are not considered. We suggest mailed payments be sent at least 10 days before due date.

Monthly Payment Schedule

Payments are due on the 15th of every month. If the 15th falls on a weekend or holiday, payment is due the previous workday.

Deferred Payment Plan

  • Pay fees over three payments per quarter.
  • There is no interest.
  • Processing Fees
  • $25 per quarter
  • Students can apply for the Deferred Payment Plan on Growl.

Make payments payable to Regents UC. Postmarks are not considered.

When Fees are Paid Late

Students are assessed a $50 late charge and lose all of their class enrollments. There is no guarantee there will be space available when re-enrolling. Students are also assessed a $12.50 late charge for non-fee charges. Housing Services assesses a $15 late charge for their overdue bills.

Statement of Account

Student Business Services posts student statements of account at the middle of each month on the Growl Web site beginning August for the Fall Quarter. Students and authorized users receive an e-mail at their UCR R’Mail when the statement is posted.

Financial aid awards will be displayed on the account once the award
has been accepted on Growl and applicable loan promissory notes
are signed.

Holds                                       

A HOLD may be placed on student accounts for past due amounts, which also holds registration, transcripts, and financial aid. Students receive notification of all holds online on Growl. When a hold has been placed, a notice will appear immediately on Growl. Financial aid on hold will also be shown on the statement of account.

Direct Deposit

Students can electronically transfer financial aid and other refunds directly to a checking or savings account for fast, convenient, and secure transactions.

Preloan/Entrance Counseling

Preloan/Entrance Counseling is a federal requirement for all first-time student loan borrowers at UCR. Preloan/Entrance Counseling is available to students at the Student Business Services Web site. Please allow approximately one hour to complete Preloan/Entrance Counseling.

Tax Relief Act

Qualified taxpayers may receive tax credits for tuition and fees associated with college education through the Hope Scholarship Tax Credit and the Lifetime Learning Credit. Learn more at TCRS or call (877) HOPE821.
