Student Special Services

Almost 50 years ago, UC Riverside became one of the first universities in the nation to make its campus wheelchair accessible and offer services for all students with disabilities. Today, our staff provides assistance to a wide range of undergraduate and graduate students with physical, learning, psychological and neurological disabilities. Services are free, voluntary and confidential to all regularly enrolled students with a verified disability.

It is suggested that students contact our office as soon as they begin to consider attending UC Riverside to initiate the process of registering for services. UC Riverside is an adult learning environment, so all students must self-identify with our office in order to be eligible for services. Once registered, students may be eligible for academic accommodation and other services based upon the documentation provided.
All documentation guidelines and specific information is available on our website.
