Dear UIC Parent,
Congratulations on your student’s acceptance to the University of Illinois at Chicago. I am glad that you have accepted my invitation to participate in the UIC Parent and Guest Orientation Program. UIC recognizes that parents play a significant role in their student’s adjustment to college life. Through your attendance today, you will become acquainted with campus units and services necessary to help support your family member during his/her transition to UIC.
I have provided this Parent Guide as a supplemental resource to your student’s Student Life Guide to assist you in further understanding general information about the university. This guide contains information regarding academic regulations, tips for parents, UIC’s community, and important phone numbers and campus maps.
