Union College Parent Guide
Community Outreach
Union was named to the 2009 President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll for its commitment to fostering a strong relationship with the surrounding community. There are many opportunities and ways to get involved. Through Greek organizations, athletic teams, Minerva programs, clubs, religious and cultural groups, and the Kenney Community Center, Union students volunteered more than 7,000 hours last year to tutor local school children, organize health workshops and food drives, clean up city streets and parks, build Habitat for Humanity homes, and much more. The Kenney Center provides a base for most student volunteer efforts.
