Wednesday, Dec. 2: Parent Talk, 6-7 p.m. Dean of Students Conference Room, Student Services Building main campus, free. Learn about new and exciting changes within university advisement designed to improve your student's academic experience. Advisement Director Vanessa Harris will discuss how all students can make the most of advisement while at UNM as well as the process for freshman students registering for their second semester of classes. Wednesday, Dec. 9: UNM's Redondo Village Apartments, with assistance from the Residence Hall Association, host an H1N1 influenza awareness program. Awareness packets will be handed out and donations will be collected to put towards a scholarship in the name of the student who recently passed away from flu-related symptoms. Their goal is to raise $500 dollars to benefit a Living Learning Community scholar. Tuesday, Feb. 2: Career Services Etiquette Workshop from 5-7:30 p.m. in the Student Union Ballroom C. Get that professional edge by enhancing your networking and professional etiquette skills. The event will start out with a mock reception where students will practice mixing and mingling through appetizers, beverages and conversation. This will be followed by a formal, three-course dinner emphasizing professional etiquette skills. This workshop is highly recommended for students completing their programs of study and preparing to enter the job market or a graduate program, 277-2531.

Thursday, Feb. 11: UNM Career Expo takes place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the UNM Student Union Building Ballrooms. Career Expo is the largest and most pre¬mier career fair on campus. Last year's event was attended by 106 recruiting agencies and over 4,500 job seekers. Career Expo is open to all UNM students, alumni and community members, 277-2531.

Wednesday, April 21: Career Services presents the Educator's Job Fair from 2 to 6 p.m. in the UNM Student Union Building Ballrooms. The Educator's Job Fair is open to UNM students, alumni and community members interested in education related jobs and careers. Recruiters from New Mexico as well as many other areas of the nation will attend this event.
