March 1-31: New Mexico Women's Hall of Fame Exhibit honoring Judge Mary Walters, Satoye Ruth Hashimoto, Charlesetta "Charlie" Morrissey and Beverly Coho, at UNM campus locations, free, co-sponsored by the UNM Women's Resource Center and the NM Commission on the Status of Women, contact the WRC for times and locations, 277-3716.

Wednesday, March 3: Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs will celebrate Mitchell Hall's Renovation with an Open House from 3 - 5 p.m. Mitchell Hall is a 1950 building renovated to modern classroom standards. The program begins at 3 p.m. in Mitchell Hall and everyone is invited. Light celebratory fare will be offered.

Wednesday, March 3: "Faculty as Mentors," is this month's topic for Parent Talk, held from 6-7 p.m. in the Student Services Center, rm. 290. Professors provide students with accessibility to research, scholarships, internships and graduate school. Hear from two of UNM's favorite faculty members - John Benevidez, Anderson School of Management, and Mary Bowannie, Native American Studies, about how students can use office hours effectively, ask for a letter of recommendation and get help to succeed academically.

Monday, March 8: Personal Safety and Self-Defense Presentation, Student Union Building, Lobo Room A, noon-1 p.m., free. Information about staying safe, debunk safety myths and featuring an interactive tutorial on body language/verbal skills to help prevent assault. Co-Sponsored by UNM Women's Resource Center and Impact Personal Safety.

Safe Spring Break activities at UNM Smith Plaza (near Zimmerman Library) from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., 277-2795.

Wednesday, April 7: University College's Undergraduate Research and Creativity Conference, free and open to the community, visit http://explore.unm.edu/ for more information.

Wednesday, April 7:
Test Anxiety workshop, 3-5 p.m., free to UNM students. Register by calling SHAC Counseling Services at 277-4537, http://shac.unm.edu/counseling.html.

Wednesday, April 21: Career Services presents the Educator's Job Fair from 2 to 6 p.m. in the SUB ballrooms. Open to UNM students, alumni and community members interested in education related jobs and careers. Recruiters from New Mexico and the nation attend this event.
