UNM Kick Butts Day is March 23
Tobacco-free health benefits start immediately and can last a lifetime. To help UNM students take control of their addiction to tobacco products, Student Health and Counseling (SHAC) and the Campus Office of Substance Abuse (COSAP) will host this year's Kick Butts Day event on Tuesday, March 23, at the Student Union Building Atrium, from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
Whether students are actually ready to quit smoking or just want information, SHAC and COSAP will have staff on hand to help. Students can pick up a free nicotine replacement therapy patch or gum after completing a simple, five-minute assessment. Students who don't smoke but care about someone who does, can stop by to learn how to help the smokers in their life feel supported and informed.
