This popular segment of the website offers an ever-changing range of perspectives and an increased opportunity to better understand Academy life. Participation is voluntary and approximately 50 cadets are recommended for his or her writing aptitude and ability to balance this commitment with a rigorous school/physical activity schedule.
However, this program requires more than the mastery of academics and personal focus.The candidates were chosen based on their appreciation of the opportunities they have been afforded by having chosen to attend the USCGA. The decision to serve humanity as a Coast Guard officer is not easy and the participants are given the chance to start helping others by depicting the reality of cadet life for potential students.
