Computer: Each room has a network connection jack (two in a double room). Students will need to provide their own Ethernet cable (a 25 foot cable is recommended). Students who live in a triple room may stop by their main desk to pick up a hub. Computers must be registered on our campus network before they can be used on the internet by going on the web to https://netreg.uvm.edu. Cable Television: Each room has one cable television outlet. Students will need to provide their own coax cable (a 25 foot cable is recommended). The channel line-up is available at: http://reslife.uvm.edu/?Page=students/quick_links/cable_channels.html

UVM Email Accounts: Students should check their UVM email at least once a day. It is UVM's official method of communication, and it is used extensively by Res Life.

Hall Phones: Due to the popularity of cell phones, student rooms are not provided with phone lines. There is a phone on every floor for emergency calls, local calls, and long distance calls using a calling card. These phones do not receive calls - they are for outgoing calls only.
