The Mission of the University of Wisconsin-Parkside Student Health and Counseling Center is to provide high quality care for the physical, emotional, and mental health care needs of students. This is accomplished by providing comprehensive intervention and preventive health education that influences positive life style choices. The staff works collaboratively with the university and surrounding community to promote holistic wellness, and believes that reinforced education and knowledge of preventive practices contributes to the achievement of academic and personal success.

Health and Counseling Services are available to all registered students. Provider visits are free with minimal fees for testing or prescription medication. Services available but not limited to include:

  • Evaluation and treatment of minor illnesses or injuries
  • Physicals
  • Dispensing of selected prescription and over the counter medication
  • Rapid testing for strep throat, mono, pregnancy, HIV, and urinary infections
  • Vaccinations
  • TB skin testing
  • Gynecological exams
  • Contraceptives, Emergency Contraception and Condoms
  • Full Lab services
  • Testing for Sexually transmitted disease
  • Loan and fitting of crutches or wheelchairs
  • Allergy injections
  • Health and wellness information and consultation
