Clubs & Organizations
Student Center
812-888-4301
Each semester the Student Center host a Club & Organization fair where students have the opportunity to meet other students and advisors from over 60 campus clubs and organizations. It is important that students get involved in at least one club or organization. Involvement is a great way to build resumes as well as make new friends. Being connected helps students both academically and socially. If your student is interested in something we don’t currently offer, encourage them to let us know. We’d love to help them start a new club!
Student Government Association
Helping provide improvement of higher education within the University, the SGA Board creates a venue to promote diverse ideas, values, cultures, and experiences within the VU community.
Campus Activities Board
CAB selects, plans, and produces many of our campus events and activities. Students may apply to be on the CAB in the Student Activities Office in Beckes Student Center. Interviews are held in the spring and fall each year. In addition, CAB is always looking for volunteers.
Student Ambassadors
Ambassadors assist the University in welcoming our new students during STARTVU (registration) and New Student Orientation. Ambassadors are highly motivated, energetic student leaders. This is a wonderful student leadership opportunity and a great way to meet new people.
International Friendship Families Program
This program gives an opportunity for people in the vicinity to become friends with a Vincennes University international student, and in the same token, it gives the opportunity to an international student to become friends with a local family.
International Club
This club helps promote cross-cultural awareness, communication, and cultural learning opportunities through programs and activities. Activities and events include international dinners/culture nights, special lunch programs, social activities, and opportunities for community service.
Student Volunteer Service Programs
Volunteering not only offers students the opportunity to help on campus, but in the Vincennes Community as well. Aside from the personal benefits of getting involved in a volunteer service, employers and educational institutions look favorably at those who are actively giving back to the community in which they reside.
