Wayne Law Ranks in Top 40 Law Schools Nationwide in 2010 Super Lawyers Listing

Posted in

Wayne State University Law School was ranked as a top 40 law school in the 2010 Super Lawyers listing published Nov. 17, 2009. The list, which ranks law schools based on the number of graduates selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers magazine, placed Wayne Law 37th out of 180 law schools nationwide.

According to Bill White, publisher of Super Lawyers and Law & Politics magazines, the ranking serves as an indicator of the quality of alumni law schools produce.
"Most law school rankings look at things like bar passage rates, professor-to-student ratios and the number of books in the library, but they ignore the end product - the quality of lawyers produced," White said in a Nov. 17 release on the Super Lawyers blog. "We think it's like ranking football teams based on athletic facilities, player size and equipment without considering who wins the games."
