WKU senior Amanda Huff of Morganfield is gaining valuable experience during the summer session of the Langley Aerospace Research Summer Scholars (LARSS) program at NASA Langley Research Center.

Huff attended the summer LARSS program last year at NASA Langley and enjoyed it so much that she decided to participate again this year.

The mechanical engineering student is looking forward to gaining more experience in her field and being able to work with colleagues on a project in her area of interest.

Huff said she plans to attend graduate school and specialize in controls and automation.

The LARSS Program provides paid internship opportunities year round for rising undergraduate juniors and seniors as well as graduate students during spring, summer, or fall sessions. Participants gain exciting hands-on research experience while working side-by-side with NASA's finest scientists and engineers who serve as mentors at NASA Langley.
