At WKU we understand the vital role parents play in the college experience, and we want to partner with you to ensure your student’s success. In addition to communicating your needs and concerns to University administration, we are here to educate you about student development and appropriate ways to help your college student become an independent and involved citizen.

As the Assistant Director of Alumni Relations I coordinate the work of our Parents’ Association (in the Division of Development and Alumni Relations). I also work with the Parents’ Advisory Council and help to administer the Parents’ Fund. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.

Mission

Our mission is to develop the potential of each student through education, communication and opportunities that draw upon the expertise and wisdom of parents, families and guardians in collaboration with the expertise and wisdom of the university and its resources.

Vision

Our vision is to be recognized nationally as a model resource for parents, families and guardians of WKU students by creating an inclusive learning environment and communication network that supports student development and success.

The Parents’ Fund

Annual gifts to the Parents’ Fund come in the form of Parents’ Association memberships and benefit current WKU students by providing resources for programs that cannot be funded by state assistance, tuition, or fees.

A few examples include:

• WKU Police Department security initiatives
• Leadership and Volunteerism
• Career Services Interviewing equipment
• M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan programming
• Alternative Spring Break support
• Intramural activities

How can I contribute?

• Send a check payable to the WKU Parents’ Association to WKU Alumni Relations and Annual Giving, 1906 College Heights Blvd. #31016, Bowling Green, KY  42101-1016.
• Send in a contribution with your Parent and Family Weekend registration.
