It is my pleasure to welcome you to our WMU community.

Western Michigan University is committed to parents and families as valued partners in your student's educational process and the Office of Parent and Family Programs is here to serve you! Our services and programs are designed to assist you in support of your student's growth, personal development and overall success.

Parent and Family Programs sponsors campus wide events for students, parents and families, including the annual Family Weekend during fall semester. We provide informational resources about the campus and topics relevant to your student's college years. We are active within the University community and readily accessible to help with any concerns you may have.

I encourage you to visit the Parent and Family Web site. It is the starting point for a wealth of information that will be useful to you throughout your student's college years. Please sign up for the WMU Family Connection monthly newsletter to keep up-to-date on campus activities and current news. It includes helpful tips for you and your student, important date reminders and a discount program for various area hotels, restaurants and retailers.
