A note on the resources on UniversityParent:
UniversityParent began with a single college print guide in 2004. Today we connect, in print and online, with an audience that spans the globe.
It has been exciting and rewarding to grow and diversify, and each day we rededicate ourselves to supporting and informing you through every stage of the high school and college parenting journey.
With this in mind, we are committed to presenting a variety of voices and viewpoints. This begins with a tight-knit community of staff and freelance writers. Our “regulars” are educators, admissions experts, student life and mental health professionals, journalists and — more often than not —the parents of teens and young adults (just like you).
We are also proud to share top-notch articles written by guest experts who explore topics ranging from the nuts and bolts of standardized testing to practical tips for encouraging our students’ independence. Articles by our guest experts display this heading:
“UniversityParent Voices” is a brand-new feature! Enjoy these personal parenting stories — sometimes hilarious, sometimes heart-wrenching, always original.
UniversityParent is proud to partner with providers of high quality products and services of interest and value to our parent audience. When an article has a corporate sponsor, you will see the Sponsored Content header.
Promotional Posts are also clearly identified.
Is our library complete? Far from it, and in fact, we know it never will be. The world, and college and family life along with it, change continuously. There are many facets of the college and high school parent experience still to explore, and new voices that need to be heard.
Would you like to write for UniversityParent? We certainly hope so! Find out how here. You can also engage with other parents in our Community Forum and through our college parent and high school parent Facebook groups.
As always, please get in touch with us at [email protected]. We welcome your feedback.
