I'm a licensed architect, software engineer, and college professor with a Master of Architecture from Harvard's Graduate School of Design.
I've enjoyed working with students of all ages, from elementary school students to retirees. Currently, I teach undergraduate architecture studios and advanced digital representation courses at Northeastern University, and have also taught at Harvard's Design Discovery program, Roger Williams University, online, and privately.
I love working one-on...
I had an important assignment using Revit and I was stuck. I had limited exposure to the tool and was really struggling. In 90 minutes, Jim taught me more than 10 hours of YouTube videos. My only wish is that I had connected with him sooner. I will definitely use Jim again in the future.

Jim is a gem of a teacher and I feel fortunate to benefit from his expertise and support. He has a clear, thorough, and organized approach. I was impressed with how much material he covered in the first meeting and I liked his three step approach. First he demonstrated the steps, second he repeated the steps slowly so that I could take notes, and third he guided me through the steps as I performed them myself. After the session he emailed summary notes of the session for self-study. As an older learner, I left the first meeting feeling much more confident about working with the InDesign software and I look forward to our next meeting.

Thank you Jim-
Boston really enjoyed his first lesson. He feels better about his project already and is looking forward to this Wednesday's tutor session.
He was happy to see how easy it was to do everything online....as he has always liked a in person tutor.

I went to Jim hoping to learn how to how to undertake something very specific. He identified the program (InDesign) that would be best suited for this and then proceeded to teach me how to use the tools within it that were appropriate to my task. I came away with the skills that I need and step by step written instructions to which I can refer as I proceed on my own. Jim is very competent and has a good teaching style. First he shows you how to do X to get the overall picture and then he has you do X yourself with his guidance. And then again completely on your own, if you want. Additionally, he is a good listener, is very responsive to questions and and pays attention to details. I highly recommend him.

Jim is very organized and presents information in a manner that is easy to follow and explains how it is applicable throughout the design process. Revit has an endless number of features so it is important to learn in an orderly sequence and also how one tool works in a manner similar to other tools (trim, hovering, tab, space bar, etc.)
